Of Love and Light
Why: Of Love and Light was created to share my experience as a twenty-something trying to gain my footing on life. When I look around, everyone else in my surroundings is also in a transformative space in some way, shape, or form. Of course it doesn’t look the same for everyone, but we somehow face similar challenges personally and professionally. I’m learning a lot about my self as I try to take an introspective look on how I move through the world. This reflective space was created to bring encouragement and inspiration through an exchange of energy and ideas. The ultimate goal is to create a community for empowerment and support.
Behind the Name: Everything should be done in love. Here, it will to represent the strength in having a loving supportive community. Light represents the spiritual and personal growth we are all experiencing. We are called to share and shine our light to others to ultimately glorify God.
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
In January of 2020, I created Of Love and Light, a blog open for anyone to read. I know what I’m going through relating to my professional, personal, and romantic life are not unique. I also know there’s someone else who has experienced or is currently experiencing the same struggle or victory. I thought it would be important to share my journey to who I am becoming.
